Condolences are extended to County Court Judge Patricia Marks on the loss of her  mother.

    Hats off to Maggie Clemens who was featured in the Democrat and Chronicle on August 14 in honor of her many years of pro bono lawyering, particularly in regard to her work with victims of domestic violence. The online version of the newspaper contained a video clip feature.

    A special salute to Paloma Capanna for her valiant year of campaigning for NY's 25th Congressional District, and her difficult decision to drop out of the race herself to avoid splitting the Democratic vote.

    Attorney and metal-smith Sarah Feingold won the distinction of “Ugliest Necklace in America” with her entry in the Land of Odds annual contest. On August 19, the Democrat and Chronicle included a photo of the necklace and description of the creative (but hideous) piece.  

    Woods Oviatt Gilman announced the addition of Christen Culligan Bruu as an associate in the firm's Trusts and Estates Department.

    Julie S. Jordan recently joined the Board of Directors of the Rochester Mental Health Association.
