A Big Thanks To Our Members

The holiday season is often a time for counting our blessings and expressing gratitude for those who contribute to our lives and businesses in a positive way. In that spirit, the GRAWA Board of Directors would like to extend a sincere “thank you” to our members. We are grateful to have many new members who bring fresh ideas and energy to the organization. We are also grateful to the many active members who have served (and are still serving!) on various committees and initiatives.

We recognize that there are many ways to deploy your time and “extra curricular” dollars. Of our modest membership dues, $50 goes to the Women's Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY), as we are a chapter of the statewide organization of 3,200 members. That means that the “balance” of GRAWA dues ($60-50=$10 for younger members and affiliates) stays with our local chapter to help pay for mailings, website maintenance, the holiday party and other events.

“Sustaining members” pay a bit more for dues, but ultimately help to cushion our local cash reserves. We are grateful that the following people have generously joined as sustaining members for 2004-2005:
